Marie-Elsa Bragg – ‘Towards Mellbreak’

Marie-Elsa Bragg is a writer, lecturer, Anglican priest and a Duty Chaplain at Westminster Abbey.  Her novel ‘Towards Mellbreak’ is a hymn to the landscape of Cumbria ‘an impassioned elegy for a way of life … a remarkable gift for observation’ (Mail on Sunday). She has appeared at the Hay Literary Festival, the Proms at St. Judes, on BBC R4, Radio Scotland, and RTE. The daughter of Melvyn Bragg, her recent book ‘Sleeping Letters’ is a personal expression of long-held grief for her late mother. ‘this exquisite book …  moving, challenging, hauntingly beautiful’ Bel Mooney  (Daily Mail).
