Friends
The Friends are an invaluable source of support in so many ways: through their subscriptions, donations, attendance at fund-raising occasions, and spreading the word about the festival. Some Friends like to help with Front of House, provide hospitality for visiting artists or with other tasks during the festival and they enjoy making new acquaintances at the performances and exclusive Friends events.
Ripon International Festival is a registered charity and, since the cutbacks in Arts Council and other grants, receives no public funding. Ticket sales meet 55% of the costs and the balance must be found from corporate and private companies, charitable trusts and individual donations. Your Friends membership and donations are applied, in their entirety, to the world-class artistic programme.
Next Friend event:
Wednesday 17 July 2019, 7 pm at Sawley Supper and Talk by Andrew Gurr, Former Governor of St. Helena and The Falklands
